Accessibility statement

Our aim

We aim for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. That covers things like colour contrast, keyboard access, clear labelling, and sensible structure for screen readers.

What we've done

• Text colours are chosen to meet WCAG AA contrast (at least 4.5:1 for body text) against their backgrounds.
• Every page works from a mobile phone up to a large desktop screen, without content being cut off or requiring sideways scrolling.
• All interactive elements (links, buttons, form fields) are reachable and operable by keyboard, with a clearly visible focus outline.
• Images have descriptive alt text, and decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
• Forms have labelled fields, clear error messages, and the milestone checker and other tools work without a mouse.
• Menus and panels (the header menu, FAQ accordions, the milestone checker) use standard, accessible patterns with correct ARIA roles, and close on Escape.

Known limitations

• This statement is new, and we haven't yet run a full, formal WCAG 2.2 AA audit across every page.
• Some third-party embeds, such as our booking system (Jane) and any future map embeds, are outside our direct control, and we can't guarantee their accessibility to the same standard.
• PDF documents we send are not always fully accessible; ask us and we'll provide the content in another format.
